If you have been a follower of mine for more than two minutes then you will know that I am a big fan of a luxury candle. My house is littered with them! It is one of the reasons I am so on board with the Danish concept of hygge (read more about that here), so imagine my delight when I came across this Paddywax hygge candle from Rooi. Hello matt pastel pink and copper!
In fact, the whole range is totally lust worthy in their looks, especially if you like a bit of Scandi like I do, and it fits beautifully into my home.
But whilst I am a self confessed packaging lover, it does matter what the candle smells like too and this one doesn’t disappoint. As is a good sign of a quality candle, I got a whiff of the scent before I had even finished unwrapping it and when lit the three wicks really get to work to disperse the scent around your home.
As for the scent itself, if I am honest I totally picked this one on the basis of its packaging as I had no idea what Rosewood and Patchouli might even smell like but it is divine. It reminds me of a luxury boutique or hotel and as I type this that is exactly what my house smells like. Yum.
In terms of cost this candle is really good value. It has a luxury look and feel as well as scent, but is so reasonable in comparison to some of the big fashion-y candle brands at the moment. The smell is pretty strong so you wouldn’t need to burn it for long to fill your home with lovely-ness so it is going to last some time. It is normally £27.95 but if you are quick it is currently on sale from Rooi Home for £19.57 – BARGAIN! Talk about a steal and hello perfect Christmas gift.
