Grey heels and frills for a relaxed date night in the desert

grey heelsAfter two weeks of being separated from my hubby as he was on a business trip in Sydney, I flew out to Abu Dhabi to meet him half way on his return journey home. Well, any excuse for a little holiday especially if it’s February and there is sun involved!

I’ll share a bit more about our trip soon, but to start I wanted to share my early valentines date night outfit. None of the items were expensive but I think they make a really nice relaxed date night outfit when combined.

We started the evening with a little walk around the grounds and down to the waters edge, followed by a cocktail as the sun went down. For dinner we taxi’d over to a neighbouring hotel’s Thai restaurant – it was so delicious, if a little spicy, even for me!

I wanted to keep my outfit relaxed and as we were in Abu Dhabi which is a Muslim country, I had to be sure to cover my legs and shoulders. Whilst we were there was warm but cloudy weather with the odd shower and it definitely felt more fresh once the sun went down, so jeans and a light jacket was the perfect combination.

The shoes which are from 4th + Reckless were high but so comfy from the first wear and easy to walk in thanks to the ankle strap. I love the grey colour, and hello gold detailing!!

Top: Zara (how versatile is this?! I expect I will be wearing it a lot!)

Jeans: Zara

Shoes: 4th + Reckless Faye (gifted) – I also love these and these

Bag: H&M old (currently loving this one) similar here and here

Jacket: Massimo Dutti – bought in the sale in the summer, similar in tan here and black here and I can vouch the leather is DIVINE!
