This post includes gifted items from Fritz Fryer, Dowsing and Reynolds and Rowen and Wren.
Back in November I starting planning a little refresh to our en-suite bathroom and i’m excited to say it is all finished and ready to share with you!
It was only a few years old so didn’t need redoing as such, but it was a bit boring and was calling out for some TLC.
I wanted to make a few changes that wouldn’t cost the earth but that would make the space a bit more stylish.
You can read all about the plans in my blog post here as well as see what it looked like before but to give you a quick overview, here’s the key things I changed and I am so glad that I did!
Firstly, I knew I wanted to change the lighting. The wall lights we had were practical but a bit ugly.
I went straight to one of my firm favourites Fritz Fryer. They have a gorgeous range of lights that are suitable for bathrooms and I love how you can make each fitting personal to you by choosing the different elements such as shape and finish.
I went for the Upton Clear Glass Swan Neck Bathroom Light in Bronze and I am SO pleased with how they look in the room. I love that they look elegant and classic but a bit modern too with their sleek lines.
The double sink was from eBay when we first did the bathroom, but I felt it was time to update the look. To save the expense of replacing the whole unit I asked a carpenter to create new drawer fronts in a gorgeous pale oak.
It only cost £60 and the transformation is huge!
I can’t believe the difference making these two simple changes has made – the whole room feels brighter and more stylish!
I was also really eager to change the towel rings from the boxy silver ones we had to something a bit more elegant. Rowen and Wren had just what I was after with their Bilton range, and I opted for the these towel rings and this loo roll holder too.
Again these small changes have made a real difference. I love how the dark metal looks again the bright white walls. They make it modern whilst still being classic in style.
To finish off I added some styling. The lovely tree was hoiked out of a spare bedroom where it was being terribly neglected and it has been given a new lease of life in here. Not only does the green add so much interest in the room, but the plant is now thriving! Win win!
So there we have it, a pretty affordable update that had made the world of difference!
What do you think?
Thank you so much to Fritz Fryer, Dowsing and Reynolds and Rowen and Wren for gifting some of the items for this project. I only work with brands that I absolutely love and hope that you will too.
