This weekend I headed to my favourite place, where I call home - Cardiff. Although I was originally planning to go to a friends engagement party, I got my days mixed up and ended up missing it, but I made the most of being able to catch up with great friends who I simply don’t see enough of, and gossip, gossip, gossip.
I left work early on Friday, put the radio on full blast and sang my heart out all the way down the M50. I arrived at my friend’s house to a glass of cold wine waiting for me, a delicious home-cooked meal, and lots to talk about.
After dinner, we listened to music, did a bit of chair dancing…
Some more wine drinking…
Then got to our feet to do some dancing and attempted to do the All the Single Ladies dance, with varying levels of success….
Before we realised we could create some crazy silhouettes…
Before falling into bed…and talking until the wee hours! The next morning, we had sore heads to say the least and made our way into the city centre for a spot of lunch. We went to Bill’s that opened after I moved to Birmingham but is a welcome addition to the busy shopping area.
Tea and a Bellini helped make me human again
Before pigging out on potato and rosemary bread which I MUST find a recipe for.
Then fish finger sandwiches, chips and mussels.
And some cinnamon donuts, with melty chocolate to dunk them in.
It was the perfect antidote to a hangover.

Awwww it was my engagement party you missed :o( Glad you still had a fab time in Cardiff (the homeland).
Need to see you when you are next down hun
