May played a game of hide and seek with me this year. I knew it was coming, after all I do know the order of the months. But when it popped up, it still made me jump and say “Oh hello May, where did you come from?”
And despite not really knowing where the rest of the year has gone, I am glad May is here.
May is when the trees are finally clothed again, flowers are blooming, you wake up to the birds singing in the trees and it is light when you finish work. Bliss. A lot of my favourite people were born in May too.
My garden is no longer just a construction site, but home to daisies, blossom, and flowers I don’t even know the name of. There is colour and fragrance and it is making me want florals in other parts of my life.
