New stairway

For over 18 months we have had no carpet on the landing or stairs. There have been gripper rods hiding in corners just waiting to catch an unsuspecting toe, and the bare boards made it feel like we were squatting.

The second floor was cut off from the first by a glass partition, and the bannisters had seen better days.

But with a little bit of attention, a lot of elbow grease and a fair bit of carpet later, it is like a different place.

My hunt for the black and white city print

I have a serious Pinterest obsession, and I love trawling the site for home, fashion, recipe and travel inspiration.

During my pinning, I have spotted a striking print come up time and time again in great interior shots. It’s simplicity really caught my eye, and I realised I had pinned it on my ‘interior ideas I love’ board quite a few times, in its different incarnations.

A day in St Tropez

During our trip to the South of France, we just had to pop over to St Tropez to see what all the fuss is about.

It was nothing like what I was expecting. It is the most beautiful, tiny, little fishing village that is almost completely overwhelmed by boats bigger than the buildings themselves.

Birthday in Cannes

So, i’ve only gone and hit the big 30. I know most people really worry about it, but for me I was just looking forward to the holiday that I got to go on to celebrate it! I picked somewhere I probably wouldn’t go for a regular holiday - the glamourous South of France.

Sadly, that’s not my boat. But a girl can dream, right.
