Five favourite things

Happy weekend!

Thanks to the bank holiday, this week has flown by for me which is just as well as every morning getting up to go to work was tough! I have learnt starting a new job is incredibly tiring.

This weekend I am mainly visiting family - it is my nephew’s third birthday and he is having a party on Sunday. I am in charge of making the cake, so that is today’s task. Wish me luck!

Here’s what’s caught my eye this week.

1. Deliciously Ella’s Energy Balls - I made these a couple of weeks ago but this week these have really come into their own during the work day when I feel like a healthy pick me up.

2. Online yoga - I have been wanting to get into yoga properly again but I struggle with work to make a regular class. I’ve turned to online yoga to help fill the gaps. Do Yoga With Me have hundreds of free online classes and they are pretty good. I’ll be trying to do two or three classes next week.

3. On Monday I went to Kenilworth Castle which is the venue of a friend’s wedding this summer. They have asked that I do their wedding photography (gulp) and so went to check it out with them. It is a really beautiful spot with loads of potential for photography so I am pretty excited about it.

4. The article ‘The freeing realisation that good enough is just fine’ over at Apartment Therapy really resonated with me. It is easy to look at perfect pictures and think that’s how people live - but in reality, is anything picture perfect?

5. I’ve ordered Ren’s ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser after seeing it pop up time and time again as a great cleanser for sensitive skin prone to breakouts. It should arrive this weekend so i’ll let you know if it is any good.

What are you doing this weekend?
