The timeless trench coat

The last couple of weeks have been lovely weather-wise - bright and sunny but there has definitely been a chill in the air. I have been wearing my new trench from Reiss non stop as a result as it’s perfect for this type of weather.

It is a very unstructured trench, made out of soft, swishy material and works just as well with a relaxed outfit as it does smartened up for work. It was a bit of an investment, but it is definitely my best buy of the season, and I expect I will be wearing it for years to come (perhaps until I can afford a Burberry?!). The last trench I bought was from H&M and cost £30 and I wore it every spring/summer for about ten years, so I am pretty sure I’ll get the wear out of this one!

A couple of weeks ago I wore it with all-white jeans and tee, ballet pumps and a neural bag on a bright and sunny day when there was a pretty cool breeze.

Have you got a piece of clothing you have worn time and time again for ten years?
