Five favourite thingsHappy Sunday!

I am writing this from the most comfortable bed (except for my own of course) at The Pig on the Beach celebrating Mr B’s birthday. He is sipping on a Nespresso, reading the Sunday papers whilst I blog and drink tea. We are just taking it easy this morning as the weather is a bit rubbish but heading out to explore the local area and beach this afternoon. I won’t say much more about the hotel now as I’ll do a full blog post on it - after I have written up Morocco’s!

So much to do, so little time :)

Happy Friday!

I have had a busy week - we’ve been in Morocco, had a jam-packed few days in work, we have friends visiting this evening and tomorrow we are off to The Pig on the Beach for Mr B’s birthday. All in all very exciting.

So to celebrate, I thought I would round up some of my favourite drinks trolley inspiration (bar carts for those on the other side of the pond) - to you know, get you in the mood for a little Friday tipple…

Planning a hen party?

Image here

We are coming into wedding season which means there will be a mass of ladies out there going about frantically arranging hen parties (bachelorette parties). Having organised two hen parties myself - both of which were dramatically different - and having attended plenty, I know it can be pretty stressful. You want it to be perfect for your friend, and send her off into marriage with an amazing party she’ll never forget but it is not always easy.

Loaf love

I first came across Loaf about four years ago when they only sold a few beds and a really, really good mattress. They are now one of the fastest growing companies in the UK, and are happily (for us and them) expanding their range left, right and centre.

They now sell sofas, furniture, lighting, rugs, art…..you get the idea…. and just yesterday they added a few more lovely items into their repertoire.

Home inspiration: masculine spaces

I realise a lot of what I put on the blog might be a little more tailored for girls, however, I know I have plenty of male readers out there so this one is for you guys.

Despite gender stereotypes suggesting otherwise, all the men I know take a pride in their homes and want to make it nice. Here is some inspiration - some easily achievable, others perhaps a bit more aspirational!

Gifts for the Royal mum and baby

Even if you were on Mars in recent weeks, I am sure news would have reached you that Great Britain has a new member of the Royal family.

To celebrate the arrival of Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, I thought it would be fun to pull together some things that would be perfect gifts for the new baby and her mum HRH The Duchess of Cambridge (but hopefully she won’t mind if we call her Kate).

Happy weekend!

Thanks to the bank holiday, this week has flown by for me which is just as well as every morning getting up to go to work was tough! I have learnt starting a new job is incredibly tiring.

This weekend I am mainly visiting family - it is my nephew’s third birthday and he is having a party on Sunday. I am in charge of making the cake, so that is today’s task. Wish me luck!
