Five favourite things

Five favourite things MarchJust a quick one from me today. I had a blissful long weekend – for the first two days we relaxed then on Sunday we went to see some of our closest friends. If I am ever made Prime Minister (which lets be honest, will never happen), I would totally make four day weekends a thing every week.

Whilst last Thursday feels like a long time ago, I know getting back in to the swing of work is going to be hard today! So if you are back to work like me, and looking for a little light-hearted distraction before you tackle all of those emails, or even if you just have a few minutes to spare, then click away on the below.

Lessons I learned in my first year of marriage – on The Everygirl. As someone who is getting married in less than five months now, I am interested to hear tips and tricks for after the big day itself.

Cures for a maple orange Kitchen – on Style by Emily Henderson. For all those people who have a dark, uninspiring kitchen and would like a refresh, but can’t afford a complete overhaul. Winner.

Why Beyoncé casting Jillian Mercado, a model with muscular dystrophy, really matters – on The Pool. I love The Pool, a site with a range of well written pieces, categorised in the time you have spare to read it. This article is four minutes – perfect if you are time-short.

Making small changes for a healthy lifestyle – on Apartment Number 4. This blog has just undergone a lovely new redesign and whilst I tend to pore over Victoria’s gorgeous interior posts, I am always up for some easy ways to make my lifestyle healthier.

Finery’s capsule collection at Selfridges – This new style brand made £5million in its first year and has just launched a collaboration collection of Forever Pieces. I’m lusting after the jumpsuit, leather jacket and the sweater.

So there you have it. Hope you had a great Easter weekend whatever you did, and here’s to another four day work week.
