Home inspiration: decorating with blush pink

Dusky pink decor-1

I have never really been the type of girl to be particularly interested in pink, but I have found myself drawn to blush pink in home decor recently. I have a feeling it might have something to do with Pantone announcing Rose Quartz as one of their colours for 2016, and the resulting plethora of pinkness that quickly spread across the internet and magazines.

I started off with a couple of blush pins on my home inspiration board on Pinterest, then added some touches of pink here and there in my Instagram feed. Now I am all-out obsessed; I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to it and I am totally planning to introduce some of this lovely colour into my home.

If I go ahead and paint the walls, or perhaps just the door as in the picture above (which adds just a hint of girlyness) I would probably go for the gorgeous Little Green Pink Slip. A slightly paler shade is their Chemise which is also lovely, but perhaps a little more little girls bedroom-y.

This blush coloured velvet and linen quilt is making me go a bit weak at the knees, as is this velvet upholstered bed from Sofa.com. Perhaps not together though…or maybe?

I also love these vases, this rug and this cool water jug – all from Cox and Cox, who are pretty much nailing this trend.

Or perhaps we could bring a bit of blush in to the kitchen with this to-die-for KitchenAid mixer?

Here are some of my favourite blush pink home accessories, to try and convince you too to add a bit of blush to your home interiors:
